From A VALLEE OF L'OURIKA TO VAL D'ASNI

Departure from Marrakesh with 4x4 towards the Ourika Valley

The Ourika Valley is named after the river torrent which runs from the high Atlas summits.

Ascension by the track until the Col (path) de Sidi Fares (2000m) in the middle of Berber villages.

Let yourself be surprised by a timeless environment, another life far from modernity .

This journey will allow us to join the other big valley starting from Marrakech: the valley of Asni , at the foot of the Djebel Toubkal. Asni is a huge area, chief place of this agricultural valley.

Arrival in Ouirgane, village at 1000 m height

La Ber gerie is located in the heart of the Berber mountains of the High Atlas. It is a privileged break in a deep peace. Its height (1.000m) makes of it an invigorating stay, a climatic cure thanks to the always moderate temperature : cool in summer, mild in winter.

Continuation by the Salt track to the artificiel lake Lac Lalla Takerkouste

This is an artificial lake that irrigates a whole part of the region of Marrakech - by a 40km track that draws itself in the middle of a very beautiful mountainous decor and offers simultaneously different landscapes according to the brightness of the day – you'll cross several typical Berber villages there (forming some Oases) where people still live in a medieval atmosphere and of which the authenticity of life conditions captivates by its charm .
