At 22 km of Tanaant, a road to the left leads to one of the most beautiful sites of the Average Atlas, where luxurious waterfalls, crowned with an aura of an almost permanent rainbow, rush of a height of 100 m in a basin of calcareous rocks in the middle of a luxuriant vegetation.
It is possible to bathe at feet of waterfalls, accessible by a shaded path scattered with olive trees. At the top of the falls, just a step from the impressive abyss, stand a dozen of small ancient mills still in service thanks to the water of the torrent. In the twilight, we can observe whole families of monkeys messing around in carob trees, these big trees with delicious fruits they are crazy about.

Hundred of “macaques maggots”, beige haired with eyes encircled with a black line, indeed elected they're residence in the caves of cliffs. It is possible to venture beyond waterfalls, up to the village of Tanaghmelt , constituted by a real labyrinth of alleys. We can also take a narrow and difficult track ending on the road of Beni Mellal by going down the gorges of oued el-Abid by a magnificent Canyon from which we do not sometimes distinguish the bottom about 600 m . The river Ouzoud flows itself from a height of 110 m before joining Oued el-Abide |
The monkeys come to the visitors to ask for food.
